Welcome to Zion Church! We invite you to join our uplifting worship and be a part of our church family. We believe God is doing extraordinary things here and would love for you to be part of the journey. Everyone has a place at this table! We are wheelchair accessible, offer hearing assistance, and have a nursery available. Contact Pastor Phil for any special needs. We look forward to seeing you soon!

Affirming

“You are more than welcome; you belong. When we say, “everyone belongs,” we mean everyone. We love and welcome people from all walks of life. This is a place where you can learn and grow in your relationship with Jesus. Here, you will find full affirmation and celebration of who God has created you to be. Whether you are just starting your spiritual journey or not on a journey at all, you have a place at the table at Zion Church.”

Empowering

"The church is not just a physical place; it's a movement. As a faith community, through God's grace, the good news we share inspires us to take action. We actively work for justice, equality, a sense of belonging, and love, wherever we are. We are a small church where everyone knows your name. It's a place that encourages and motivates us not only to worship, but also to take action. We leave this space to share the Good News with others."

Anchoring

"When you're feeling heavy, anxious, exhausted, or hopeless because of the world around you, we share good news every week that anchors you and is relevant to your life. This is not a place to receive a lecture—this is a place to receive the Good News of Jesus Christ. Our hope is that this place provides you with solid footing, reminds you that you're not alone, and helps you stay connected to what really matters."

FAQs

  • Yes, you have! There has been an ongoing debate about inclusion of our LGBTQ+ brothers and sisters recently in the news. The Global Methodist Church has started a new denomination apart from the United Methodist Church for reasons around inclusion. Zion is remaining United Methodist. We remain committed to inclusion of all people.

If you are coming from a church that split and are looking for a United Methodist Church, we are here for you. We grieve the loss of our separated brothers and sisters, however, must continue forward in a discipleship rooted in hospitality.

  • Whether you are a lifelong United Methodist, or not it is our hope that you are comfortable in worship with us. At Zion we offer a traditional worship service. Each Sunday we recite the Apostles Creed, The Lord’s Prayer, and have an open time for prayer both joys and concerns. Do not worry if you do not know what to do, no one is here to judge anyone on whether they know all the words this is a journey. Zion is a place to grow, and live into our calling to be disciples, to be sent out into the world to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ.

  • It is our hope that your child will want to stick with you throughout the service. The sounds of children mean the church is alive and thriving. If there is a time your little one gets antsy the nursery is always open and the service is streamed. If you require childcare, please ask when you arrive, and we will do our best to accommodate any way we can. In fact, reach out to our pastor beforehand if you would like and he will help any way he can.

  • The easy answer is no.

We understand sometimes the hardest part of starting with a new church is walking through the front doors. Therefore, if you come and simply observe that is just fine! In fact we welcome it. If there is a time you feel uncomfertable please speak with someone, or reach out to the pastor!

  • We are a small church everyone wants to say hello. This is just a part of who we are. It is our hope you feel welcomed and loved. We are all here because we are looking for answers, we are here to seek God more fully.

  • It is our hope that you come as you are. No need to go out and buy a new suit or dress. Casual attire works just fine. It is almost sad that we have to include this, however, we want you to know these things so that you are comfortable walking through the doors of our church!
