I know that visiting a church for the first time can feel awkward. Here at Zion UMC, you will discover we are normal people, in a small church that will quickly welcome you. As the pastor here along with our ministry staff we are here to serve God and serve our neighbors. Just a little about me. I am originally from Raleigh, NC. I absolutely love fishing, enjoy woodworking, and working on or tinkering with anything that has an engine. After high school my first degree was in construction management. This was a love of mine, yet God had something else in mind. After my calling into pastoral ministry I transferred to Mount Olive University to study religion graduating in 2014. In August 2014, I started my studies at Duke Divinity School, obtaining a masters of Divinity in 2018. During my time at Duke I was a student pastor in Roxboro, NC.
In June 2018 I was requested to join the family of Zion here in Leland. My daughter Sadie was born just a few months later in November 2018. Sadie has been raised in this loving community and it is our hope that we will be here for as long as God would have us in this place.
